Hit or Miss Competition – Conditions of Entry
1. An on air competition will normally run at approximately 8:15am and 5:15pm on normal workday weekdays. Note: The competition may not run on any day so determined by Rhema FM management.
2. A ‘Hit or Miss’ grid will be established at Rhema FM 99.7 Newcastle containing 100 grid squares. Eg 1-10, A-J
3. Listeners will be invited to telephone when requested by the on air announcer and will be given the opportunity to guess one (1) grid square from the official ‘Hit or Miss’grid.
The guessed grid square may or may not contain a predetermined major prize or from time to time other minor prizes. Only two (2) listeners per competition session will be offered a guess. It will be at the announcers discretion whether the first, second, or up to tenth caller is given the opportunity to guess. Although the announcer will advise the listeners his intention prior to taking calls.
4. A listener copy of an empty ‘Hit or Miss’ grid may be downloaded from the official Rhema Fm 99.7 Newcastle website www.rhemafm.com.au during the course of the competition. (It is advised that listeners keep a personal tally of already guessed grid squares to ensure that they can, if the opportunity arises, avoid guessing the same grid squares.)
5. All decisions by the judge (Station Manager) will be final and non-negotiable.
6. Participation in the competition is your agreement to abide with the conditions of entry found on the official www.rhemafm.com.au website
7. The prize (or from time to time ‘prizes’) will be awarded when an eligible competition participant, during the normal on air running of the competition, in accordance with the rules of the competition, guesses a “Hit or Miss” grid number
(eg line 6, row B ) on the official Rhema FM ‘Hit or Miss’ grid (which will be kept
at Rhema Fm 99.7 Newcastle’s studio, 13 Denison St Newcastle.), that has a predetermined prize attached. No other ‘Hit or Miss’ grid will be acknowledged
in this competition as having any value other than for the personal tally of a listener to check off previously guessed grid numbers. No correspondence or communication will be entered into as to differing tallies on other ‘Hit or Miss’ grids whether a mistake is real or perceived.
8. All prizes must be collected from the reception of Rhema Fm 99.7 Newcastle,
First Floor, 13 Denison St, Newcastle West, during normal 9am to 5pm business hours Monday to Friday (Public Holidays excluded) within two (2) weeks of the date the prize has been won. No prizes will be delivered or mailed out.
Prizes (excluding major prize -$500 gift voucher) not claimed, will be recycled in future competitions. Any major prizes not claimed within two (2) weeks will become
void and destroyed.
9. During the course of the competition there will always be one (1) grid square that allows a listener to win a major prize (initially a $500 gift voucher from Glen Geary | The Good Guys Kotara). Once the grid square that contains the major prize has been correctly guessed by an eligible competition participant during the normal running of the competition, in accordance with the rules of the competition, and the prize has been awarded, a new ‘Hit or Miss’ grid will be established at Rhema FM 99.7 Newcastle, that again contains a major prize and from time to time other lesser prizes. At this time, listeners must disregard all previously chosen grid squares and begin checking off new guessed grid squares on a new fresh ‘Hit and Miss’ listener tally grid sheet.
No responsibility will be taken by Rhema FM 99.7 Newcastle for a listener not being aware that a new official ‘Hit or Miss’ grid has commenced.
10. The major prize may change from time to time at the discretion on Rhema FM management.
11. The competition may cease to be run at any time without previous warning (even prior to a major prize being won) at the discretion of the Rhema FM management.
