'Carols on the Ridge', will be held on Friday 6th December, on the green at the Community Centre, 209 Cessnock Road, Gilleston Heights, from 6 to 9pm. You’ll be entertained by the Maitland City Choir. Food and drinks will be available. This is an outdoor event on the green so bring along your kids, rug or chair to sit on. Toronto Uniting Church invites you to a Nativity Display, from Thursday 5th to Sunday 8th December. Come and view some of the many ways the Christmas story is presented in painting, figurines, tapestry and more. Admission is $2 for Children and $5Adults. A Family Ticket just $10. Singleton Baptist Church is hosting its annual Community Carols at the Heights on Saturday 7th December commencing at 5.30pm. This is an absolutely free, fun filled night. The carols are being held at Allan Bull reserve, Bridgman Rd Singleton. There are free jumping castles, face painting and gift bags as well as a free sausage sizzle and drink. You’ll be entertained by well-known artist, Kerryann McKittrick, together with the Singleton Town Band. There’s also Special entertainment for the kids. The Combined Churches of Tomaree presents Carols by the Bay @ Fly Point on Sunday the 8th December! Pre Carols performances will start at 5.30pm including many local schools and vocal groups. Carols will begin at 7.30pm and the night will conclude with fireworks at around 9pm.

The Christmas pantomime A Lad in a Manger makes its debut in Stroud on Friday 20 December. The production tells the story of Christmas while having a whole lot of fun. This Stroud Combined Churches production is directed by Anne Frost and produced by Rev Chris Garland of St John's. There are 2 Performances at Stroud’s School of Arts on Friday 20th December, a matinee at 2.30pm and an evening performance at 7.30pm. Light refreshments will be served at both. All proceeds from the play will be donated to a Philippines relief fund. Tickets are just $5 for Adults, children and concession just $2. The Anna Bay “Carols under the Stars” is on again, Monday 23rd December, with a 21st Century re-enactment of the Christmas story combined with everyone’s favourite Christmas Carols. This year’s event will feature camel rides, face painting, two free jumping castles and other kid’s activities. The Carols and Nativity Play include real camels, donkeys and sheep. The Festivities begin on Monday 23rd December from 5pm with live performances from local musicians, as well as lots of activities and great food for all the family. The Carols and Nativity Play will begin at 7.30pm. So, bring your family, friends and a picnic rug and celebrate Christmas with your community.
