Operation Christmas Child shares God’s love in a tangible way — delivering gift-filled shoeboxes and the message of the Gospel to children around the world each Christmas.

At Rhema FM, we’re thrilled to be a pick-up and drop-off site for this heartwarming initiative by Samaritan’s Purse. Together, we can bring joy and hope to children in need through a simple shoebox gift.

And this year, we have Operation Christmas Child boxes available right here at Rhema Studios, Newcastle — so it’s never been easier to get involved!

💡 What Is Operation Christmas Child?

Operation Christmas Child is the world’s largest Christmas project of its kind. Since 1993, it has delivered over 220 million shoebox gifts to children in more than 170 countries and territories.

Each shoebox is packed with toys, school supplies, and hygiene items — but most importantly, it shares a message of God’s love and hope.

In 2023 alone, more than 11.3 million shoebox gifts were collected globally!

🎄 How to Pack a Shoebox

  1. Get a Shoebox
    Pick one up from Rhema FM Newcastle (30 Warabrook Blvd, Warabrook) or order one online HERE

  2. Choose Gifts
    Select a boy or girl and age group (2–4, 5–9, or 10–14).
    Fill your shoebox with a variety of fun and useful items.

  3. Donate $12.50
    This covers shipping and project costs.

  4. Label Your Box
    Get your label from the Donations & Labels page when making your $12.50 donation, or use the one in the How to Pack brochure.
    Clearly mark boy/girl and age category, then stick it on your box.

  5. Pray
    Most importantly, pray for the child who will receive your box — that they, their family, and their community would experience God’s love.
